Sketchbook 17-3-12

I’ve been thinking lately about how the best artists know how to forgo certain elements of realism, and how those deviations can make a picture more effective or express what you want to more strongly or more clearly than if you’d tried to draw it photo-realistically. Anatomically, this isn’t one of my better hands, but I still like how the whole panel came out. I’m not skilled enough yet to do this on purpose though. :/
